This will be the final sale of Important Paintings & Contemporary Art for 2017.

Significant works in this auction include an exceptional and rare drawing dating from 1835. Fine modernist works include two exceptional varnished watercolours by A. Lois White that are presented alongside works by other leading female artists of the period, Adele Younghusband and Rita Angus. A remarkable large scale work by Toss Woollastion is represented alongside a striking work by Peter Siddell, formerly in the Dame Kiri Te Kanawa Collection.

The auction also includes a strong contemporary section, with a body of 50 works by leading New Zealand and Australian artists such as Julian Dashper, Mikala Dwyer, Marco Fusinato, Diena Gerogetti, Seraphine Pick, Ronnie van Hout, Michael Harrison, Ricky Swallow and Rose Nolan.
