Welcome to Mossgreen-Webbs online auction for September. Highlights from this auction include something very apt in consideration of the current General Election with 3 lots of John Key’s own Pinot Noir covering three vintages. These have been personally signed by our former Prime Minister. There is also other good value and back vintages of Central Otago Pinots. With summer approaching we have a good number of great value Rose’s from New Zealand and Provence in France. Rhone is again well represented and we have some very good value Italians. There are a number of classed growth Bordeaux in bottle and magnum format with wines for the cellar and wines for drinking. Great value Burgundy with village wines from Chablis and the Cote d’Or as well as Premier and Grand Cru wines. The New World outside New Zealand always has interesting wines and this month is no exception with several vintages of Klein Constantia from South Africa and many wines that represent good drinking from Australia. Vintage Ports from Australia and from Oporto are in good supply and we finish with a fabulous Richard Hennessy Cognac. Don’t forget the offers from Young Bacchus Estate and Amen Break Pinot Noir (only released Australia with an RRP of $35). These are great value and a good way of stocking the cellar with some good everyday drinkers. This auction will finish on the 27th with Lot 1 closing at 9.48am and all lots finishing sequentially in 2 minute intervals. The last lot will close at 8pm. Good luck with your bids. Please don’t hesitate in calling if there is anything we can help with.
